The Giraffe-Heroes <\/em>Foundation is looking back at a year full of surprises \u2013 in many ways. One thing is for sure, our slogan, Where there are Giraffes there is Hope<\/em>, perhaps has never been more fitting than during these days\u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n We devoted a lot of time and resources to our Giraffe for Climate Adaptation<\/em> \u2013 The Bees and Trees Initiative \u2013 . Even though the crowd-funding campaign was without success, the cooperation among Dimi Dumortier, Hendrik Haers, Andr\u00e9 Wermelinger, Chris Malins, Cosco and ourselves was much of a reward and produced a good understanding of how to cooperate in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Then there is our newly found cooperation with Kanthari, Sabriye Tenberken and Paul Kronenberg. It is absolutely delightful to have someone as a partner who has developed an operating program under which the Giraffe Spirit<\/em> is groomed in young people from all over the world so that they can become successful change makers in their native communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And since three month\u2019 by now Yampier is conducting weekly podcasts with Kantharis<\/em> and Giraffes <\/em>alike (these are in fact different names for the same or very similar characters) which is a great contribution in the process of bringing these fascinating personalities closer to us and providing an opportunity to reach out. Yampier, thank you so much!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Last not least, together with Thomas Witte, I\u2019m preparing a rather specific fundraising application for donor foundations with the aim to receive necessary funding for a growing number of activities in 2021.
